My style: documentary photography

Documentary wedding photography is all about capturing real moments and less about staged events or posed photos. That said, I do take the standard family group photos and a few creative portraits of the bride and groom.

I’m happy to go with the flow, if you have any ideas of photos you’d like me to take, I’m happy to try what you have in mind. Feel free to send me a link to your pinterest boards of wedding inspiration so I can get a better understanding of what images you like the look of. Not all of them will be realistic, but for the ones that are I’ll aim to capture them.

For weddings, I keep posed photos to a minimum and operate quickly, you wont be waiting an hour to get through group shots. The sooner you and your guests can get back to enjoying yourselves the sooner I can take photos I love to take.

When it comes to processing photos, I like to take the same approach as I do with photography and keep things real. Check out my editing process if you’d like to see a quick before and after.
